Research interests & current/recent research projects
- Slope stability and seepage analysis which has resulted in the development of the XSLOPE and FESEEP software.
- Soil reinforcement with particular focus on reinforced earth, soil nailing and geofabrics. This research has included the development of the STARES computer program which is now widely used in industry.
- Soil improvement using stone columns which has resulted in the development of the COLANY software.
- Pre- and post processing of 2- and 3-dimensional finite element analysis which involves the on-going development of programs GENTOP and FELPA.
