This project is a long-term international collaboration without any financial support. Unlike other projects, only academic staff members at numerous universities are involved in the project. In this project, we attempt to advance the knowledge of free surface flow in porous media and relevant problems, including:

* Tidal dynamics in coastal aquifers;
* New analytical solutions for free surface flow in non-homogeneous porous media;
* Flow in compressible, saturated, one-dimensional porous media;
* Similarity solution of axisymmetric flow in porous media
* Salt-water intrusion
* Groundwater dynamics in coastal aquifers
